What You’ll Learn During “Find Inspiration & Healing in the Radical Teachings of St. Hildegard”

The Creator is a woman and her name is Love…

These are the words of 12th-century mystic and visionary Hildegard of Bingen, the brash and brilliant medieval abbess who rebelled fearlessly against the patriarchy of church and society.

Receiving mystical visions since the age of three, Hildegard professed that God was female and male — and existed in all of the Cosmos and everything within it… including Mother Earth, who in Hildegard’s eyes was the mother of all.

This belief in the divinity of all things was masterfully woven into her paintings and theology, as well as her healing practices, which are still being used today.

As a mystic, author, artist, composer, herbalist, preacher, and theologian who oversaw her own monastery high on a hill in rural Germany, Hildegard knew many centuries ago what is vitally important for us to understand and practice today:

We must honor our interdependence with each other and nature to reclaim the sacred and break the cycle of greed, power politics, and destruction that is destroying Mother Earth and the heart of humanity.

During this thought-provoking hour with Matthew Fox, one of the foremost mystical scholars of our time, you’ll be nourished and revitalized by Hildegard’s inspirational writings, heart-opening music, illuminating stories of her life — and divinely inspired guidance on how we can rise to meet the uncertainties of our time with compassion, conviction, creativity, and grace.

Hildegard maintained that the outer defiling of the natural world and of the feminine overall is mirrored by an inner drying up of our own souls — a malady that is still deeply entrenched in today’s world.

With Matthew, you’ll learn why reconnecting to the web of life, to the Divine, and to our deeper selves is the first step toward reinstating the healing attributes of the feminine into our daily lives.

You’ll venture deep into the resurgence of the feminine… unearthing the archetypal gold that our world desperately needs to rebalance, regenerate, and refocus our shared intention for a just and compassionate world.

You’ll explore all art forms as gateways to our sacred selves — and as portals that allow the wisdom of the Cosmos to enter our world, ushering in new ideas, solutions, virtues, and a truly felt experience of life in the process.

You’ll gain important insights on how to access what Hildegard calls your “greening” power… your sacred sensuality that connects you to the Divine, to your own body, and to your innate ability to “make green” or help heal yourself, your community, and the Earth.

Ultimately, you’ll discover how you are a co-creator of a new story for humanity… and learn, through Hildegard’s rich teachings, how to reclaim your own sacredness and be of service to others and the planet.
