Activate the Medicine Within Your Voice – Free Class with Chloë Goodchild
Sometimes you know what you feel, yet the moment you try to express it, something gets edited. You may soften your words, second-guess your response, or judge the sound of your own voice before you have fully heard what it wants to say.
Chloë Goodchild offers another way to relate to your voice — not as something that needs to perform or sound “right,” but as a direct pathway into listening, feeling, and authentic expression. Her Voice Medicine approach brings together breath, tone, vibration, natural vocal expression, and silence.
You’ll explore how your spoken, sung, and silent voice can help you listen inward, give sound to what you discover, and notice what shifts when you meet your own expression with less judgment. Chloë will guide you through a 3-part somatic vocal healing practice that moves from inner listening into sound and then into the silence that follows.
You don’t need to consider yourself a singer or have musical experience to participate. The focus is not performance, but a more present and compassionate relationship with your own unique voice.
Why Attend “Activate the Medicine Within Your Voice: How Your Voice Can Transform Emotional Blocks & Reconnect You With the Music of Your Soul”

Holding back your voice can become so familiar that you barely notice it happening. You may know what feels true inside, yet still second-guess your words, censor your expression, or worry about how you will be received.
Chloë Goodchild’s approach shifts the emphasis away from vocal performance and toward deep listening, presence, and sound-awareness. By working with breath, tone, vibration, natural vocal expression, and silence, she invites you to explore your voice as a way of meeting your inner experience before you have to explain or analyze it.
Chloë founded The Naked Voice in 1990 and has developed a body of work centered on spoken, sung, and silent vocal practices. This event gives you an experiential introduction to that work, including a guided process for listening inward, expressing what you find through sound, and noticing the quality of silence that follows.
What You’ll Learn
We’ll begin with inner listening, so you can move away from trying to make your voice sound a particular way and instead notice what is already present within you. Chloë will introduce her Voice Medicine approach as a way of relating to sound through presence rather than performance.
You’ll then explore breath, tone, and vibration, which means the work moves from mental analysis toward direct embodied awareness. Along the way, you’ll investigate how giving sound to an inner feeling can change your relationship with that feeling and with your own authentic expression.
From there, Chloë will guide you through her 3-part somatic vocal healing practice, moving from listening to natural vocal expression and then into silence. The process invites deeper nonjudgmental listening, so you can hear your voice and inner experience with greater curiosity rather than measuring yourself against an idea of how you should sound.
