SUMMARY:Access the Medicine Within Through Medical Qigong – Free Class with Roger Jahnke
DESCRIPTION:\n\nFree Online Event\n\n We’ve become remarkably skilled at treating disease, yet many of us were never taught how to actively cultivate health. Medical Qigong offers a different starting point: learning how movement, breath, awareness, and self-care practices can help you work more intentionally with your own MindBody system.\n \n\n Dr. Roger Jahnke, OMD, has spent decades bridging classical Chinese medicine and modern mind-body practice. In this free event, he’ll introduce a practical four-dimensional approach to Medical Qigong that brings together gentle movement, conscious breathing, focused awareness, and therapeutic self-massage.\n \n\n You won’t only hear the ideas explained. Roger will also guide you through a simple Medical Qigong practice so you can experience how these four dimensions come together in the body and explore a more active relationship with vitality, resilience, and wellbeing.\n \n\n The central invitation is simple: health is not only something to think about when something goes wrong. This session explores how everyday practice can become a way of cultivating the internal conditions associated with repair, renewal, and resilience.\n \n\n Register Here For Free\n\n Registration is free, and you’ll receive event access details and reminders after you sign up.\n \n\n\n\n\n Explore This Free Event\n \n\n Jump directly to the section that interests you.\n \n\n\n \n →\n Why Attend\n \n \n\n \n →\n What You’ll Learn\n \n \n\n \n →\n Who Should Attend\n \n \n\n \n →\n About Your Teachers\n \n \n\n \n →\n Endorsements\n \n \n\n \n →\n Frequently Asked Questions\n \n \n\n \n Register Here For Free\n →\n \n \n\n\n Why This Practice Matters\n \n\n Why Attend “Medical Qigong: Activate Your Body’s Innate Healing Intelligence”\n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n Many wellness conversations begin after a problem appears, but Roger invites you to consider a different question: How can you actively cultivate health before everything becomes about fixing what has gone wrong? Medical Qigong approaches wellbeing as an ongoing practice that engages movement, breath, attention, and self-care.\n \n\n Stress and modern routines can make it difficult to feel connected to the body’s natural capacities for repair, renewal, and resilience. Roger’s four-dimensional framework gives you a clear way to explore how gentle physical practice, conscious breathing, focused awareness, and therapeutic self-massage can work together.\n \n\n Roger has spent more than 40 years helping bridge classical Chinese medicine with modern science and mind-body practice. His teaching is especially useful if you want an approach that is experiential as well as conceptual, because the session includes a guided practice rather than asking you to understand Medical Qigong only as an idea.\n \n\n Register Here For Free\n \n\n\n\n Teaching + Guided Practice\n \nWhat You’ll Learn\n\n We’ll begin with Roger’s distinction between treating disease and actively cultivating health, so you can explore Medical Qigong as a practice for working with the body’s own capacities for balance, repair, renewal, and resilience. You’ll also see why this perspective has remained meaningful to healers, physicians, wellness practitioners, and students of mind-body practice.\n \n\n From there, you’ll be introduced to the four dimensions Roger uses in Medical Qigong — movement, breath, awareness, and self-massage — which means the practice can be understood as an integrated system rather than a collection of isolated techniques. Along the way, he’ll connect these dimensions with practical ways of cultivating greater vitality and wellbeing.\n \n\n You’ll then be guided through a simple Medical Qigong practice, so the principles become something you can experience directly in your own body. And then Roger will place that experience in a broader context, including how Qigong can deepen a personal practice, support professional healing work, and prepare those who feel called to teach others.\n \n\n Here’s just a little bit of what you’ll learn:\n \n\nWhy cultivating health is a different orientation from waiting until disease or imbalance demands attention\nHow Roger’s four dimensions of Medical Qigong bring together breath, movement, awareness, and self-massage\nWhat chronic stress can mean for the conditions that support the body’s natural repair and renewal processes\nHow gentle movement can become part of a broader mind-body approach to vitality and resilience\nWhy conscious breathing is treated as a central dimension rather than an afterthought\nHow focused awareness helps connect intention with physical practice\nThe role therapeutic self-massage plays within Roger’s Medical Qigong framework\nWhat it is like to put the four dimensions together in a guided Medical Qigong practice\nHow Medical Qigong can enrich a personal practice, professional healing work, or a path toward teaching others\n\n\n Register Here For Free\n \n\n\n\n A Practical MindBody Approach\n \nWho This Is For\n\n This event is a fit if you’re curious about Medical Qigong and want a practical introduction to movement, breath, awareness, and self-massage. It may also appeal if you already practice Qigong, Tai Chi, yoga, energy medicine, or another mind-body discipline and want to deepen your understanding of a systematic health-cultivation approach.\n \n\n Roger’s teaching also speaks to healthcare professionals, healers, wellness practitioners, and people who want to support the wellbeing of loved ones. Whether your interest is personal practice, professional integration, teaching, or simply feeling more connected to your own body, the session offers a grounded entry point into his four-dimensional framework.\n \n\nPeople who are completely new to Qigong and want an accessible introduction\nQigong and Tai Chi students looking to deepen an existing practice\nYoga practitioners interested in another body-centered contemplative discipline\nHealthcare professionals exploring mind-body approaches to wellbeing\nHealers and wellness practitioners interested in practical self-care methods\nPeople who want to support the wellbeing of family members or loved ones\nPractitioners considering how Medical Qigong could complement their professional work\nThose interested in developing teaching skills or a more service-oriented path\n\n\n Register Here For Free\n \n\n\n\n Meet the Faculty\n \nAbout Your Teachers\n\n Dr. Roger Jahnke, OMD, is a physician of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine who has dedicated his professional life to sharing the holistic healing traditions of China.
